The Rabbit Hole Has Wi-Fi

Awakening

There is something in me awakening.

And honestly, it even scares me.

There is a side of me that I know exists – but has never been unleashed.

Like a beast.

Ambitious.

Curious.

Bull-headed.

Problem-solver.

Unhinged.

Emotionless.

Risk-taker.

Analytical.

Goal-oriented.

There is no love in her.

No hate either.

There is nothing.

Right or wrong?

Necessary or unnecessary?

That is all.

Now, for the first time in my life, the question is not:

“How will I/we survive?”

But:

“What can I achieve?”

And it is waking up.

She is not the kind, warm-hearted woman most people know.

She won’t ask how people feel – she will ask what is right, what brings us closer to the goal.

She doesn’t want to be loved – she wants respect.

If someone gets in her way, she will ask them to move only once.

She protects what’s hers no matter what it takes.

She will listen to people gossip about her with a bag of popcorn in her hand and smile.

With this awakening, I am entering a whole different game.

The kind, warm-hearted woman is not dying.

She is going home.

She belongs there.

But she is not playing this game anymore.
