The Rabbit Hole Has Wi-Fi

I am minding my own business

I have been thinking for a while about why I am such a hard pill to swallow for some people.

Mostly insecure ones.

Those who are not okay with their lives but wouldn’t even admit it to themselves.

Yeah, I think I found the key.

Because there are many insecure people who love my company and tell me that I inspire them.

Some of them even look at me as if I were someone to worship, which I don’t like.

I mean, I’m a human being, not a god to worship.

But some people see my words as personal attacks, which I never understood.

I never wanted to step on anyone.

I’m just myself.

I have my opinion, and I’ll share it if I’m asked.

There is no judgment in it.

I don’t think I’m better than anyone.

I honestly believe that every single person could teach me something that would catch me off guard.

But somehow, a lot of people feel like they have to defend their beliefs, their point of view, from me.

While I’m just sitting in my own mind, minding my own business, sharing my opinion if I’m asked.

Or if we’re having a conversation.

Life humbled me in a way that, unless something is destructive, I can understand almost anything.

And I don’t mind.

Other people's religions, their point of view about how the world works, and so on, are simply not my business.

Unless it involves hurting those who cannot defend themselves.

That is personal.

Honestly, there were countless times when other people told me how I should live or what I should believe.

I never do that.

All I ask is that people look at things from a different perspective for a moment.

Maybe there is something on the other side of self-defense.
