Looking Foward
Yesterday something broke.
The last wall that kept me from becoming who I was always meant to be fell, and there is no going back.
Yesterday I really became a hard pill to swallow: provocative, crazy, a little bitchy. With people and in my art as well.
The Raccoon in the Rabbit Hole became much more provocative than I originally planned. As a friend of mine said:
“It’s like you poured Red Bull into cocaine.”
The thing is, he was pretty much right. Not much wilder than sending a short story about a miscarriage to a literary competition, but not that far from it either.
I really want it to be performed in front of a retirement club… I bet it would be a huge success.
The worst thing is that it makes me laugh.
Whatever.
Also, I finally see the path not only to my career as a narrative designer, but also towards creating a game company. Slowly, everything is falling into place, and I’ve finally started finding the people I need to make miracles happen. Funny how some of them were so close to me the whole time.
But I don’t think any of us would have been ready for a project like this before.
And this project will lead me to my doctoral studies, which will lead me even further.
The sky is the limit.
Shit tons of work.
But I’ve never been afraid of work. The only thing I’m afraid of is people backing out and fucking me over again, just like they have throughout my life.
But hey, at some point I have to take a leap of faith and believe in people again.
Believe that good things can happen to me.
And that there are people who care about me and share my vision.
Because my path was never meant to be lonely.
