Preparation Phase
I was thinking about what I would need to work on my project in a way that I really enjoy.
And a multitouch table came to mind.
I struggle with my mind maps on this laptop; it is too small. I don’t see a way it could be really comfortable or let me see all the connections.
I want something huge where I can see everything at the same time.
And an iPad. I want to learn digital drawing. I mean, I don’t always want to think the way writing requires me to.
And the orange farm. In the middle of nowhere, in peace.
And a bunch of crazy-minded people I can talk to about my ideas. That has always helped me clear my mind and refine the vision I have.
Yeah, this is something I have always struggled with—sharing my ideas and vision.
Of course, I won’t write everything down here. What would be the surprise then? But I need people I trust, who can actually give useful insights and challenge me. Who point out where things make no sense or where more improvement is needed. Who don’t just say how good an idea is but really point out all its flaws. And who I can share my enthusiasm with.
I have tons of enthusiasm inside me, but I have no one to share it with.
I need people who inspire me and who I can inspire as well.
Co-creation.
Not so long ago I thought creation was something that should happen in solitude, but I don’t agree with that anymore.
Yes, some parts of it need to. I cannot actually write if someone is around, annoying me.
But there are so many parts of the creative process where good company could help a lot.
This preparation phase is not bad, actually.
I mean, I am finally realizing these things before going after my dreams in full force.
