Shut Up and Dance
A lot of the time, I get inspiration from songs.
So many times I've been criticized that writing while listening to music is bad, that the results will be worse, etc., etc.
But hell no.
I think I know best when I perform at my best.
I can really cling to songs for a long time, riding the emotions they create.
Like right now, I'm listening to Shut Up and Dance.
And actually, while I'm writing this text, I'm also planning my novel Valahavándor in another tab.
"Deep in her eyes I think I see the future I realize this is my last chance."
I love this part. I can see a whole new chapter in it: how the dynamic between the two main characters changes the outcome of the entire story.
How the fate of Elveszett Álmok Birodalma depends on whether they decide to look for each other, or choose the fear of their broken hearts and the fear of the unknown instead.
I honestly love the concept of a fantasy story where the ending doesn't depend on grand gestures, huge decisions, or great sacrifices.
But on whether the characters choose emotional honesty. Trust, when it's really hard to trust. Choosing to be accountable for their actions. Choosing to face the pain they caused. Choosing to act when it's time to act instead of waiting for the right moment.
Which never actually comes.
Because real life works that way too.
Not through grand gestures and big decisions.
But through the small ones.
