The Rabbit Hole Has Wi-Fi

The Calling

I am slowly diving deeper and deeper into this realization:

I am not my mind, but the conscious observer.

The free spirit within.

And today I reached another checkpoint.

I saw how my ego, how identification, actually creates my own suffering.

How it tries to make me believe that I am not enough. That I am not worthy.

Here comes the power of thought:

I will be pretty if I lose weight.

I will be free if I have money.

I will be worthy of love if I give this and that.

I will be a whole person if I achieve X goals.

I will be somebody if I earn X amount of money.

The mind tricks us into believing that we are broken, that we are not enough—and it causes constant pain and suffering.

This is how we become our own suffering.

This is how our fear controls us.

Maybe there was actually nothing wrong with me when someone asked me who I was.

And I answered:

Me.

Not labels, like a woman, a writer, a storyteller, or whatever.

Just myself.

Myself with endless possibilities.

And maybe separating myself from my higher self was the trick of the mind.

The mind wants me to believe that I am not enough.

That I won’t be enough until I achieve this and that.

Until I can do this and that.

But actually, I was always my higher self.

The observer.

And the calling I always felt, the bigger life I always knew I was meant to live, is nothing more and nothing less than my choice.

The game I want to play this time.
