The Hanged Man
There is a tarot card I really love—The Hanged Man.
It always reminds me that if solutions A, B, and C don't work, maybe you just have to look at the world upside down to find your answers. Instead of making the same wrong decision over and over again, you can choose something different. Maybe something you believe wouldn't work.
Sometimes our unconscious fears blindfold us so much that we can't see what's actually right in front of our eyes. Or already in our pocket.
I never thought that the solutions to my problems would be reflected through a game called Call of Dragons.
But why not?
Life always finds a way.
So the Universe, God, or whatever we want to call it, will also find a way, even if you've imprisoned yourself in home office and social isolation. The less you resist, the sooner you get through the process, honestly.
I downloaded this game for fun and to make some money. (Oh God, instead, look how much I ended up spending on it...) And it became my journey to enlightenment—or whatever we want to call it. A journey back to my core.
I decided: no leadership for me, because I stopped gaming for years because of it.
Well, this curse found me again.
Even when I was sitting silently in a dead alliance for two weeks.
I met someone who decided she wanted to build something with me because she saw me shining.
Shining in a dead alliance. Do you see that?
The Sun cannot hide, however hard she tries.
I stepped up to help her survive so she could maybe get more than three hours of sleep instead of sleeping in a chair.
Then we left and founded 773 with some other people.
One by one, all of the founders left me because, why not, leave everything to someone who had no clue what she was actually doing? Someone who never wanted leadership in the first place.
Destiny, I guess.
The more I resisted my fate, the harder it pushed back. So after a while, I just stopped worrying and stopped caring.
Then, through this game, I met one of the most influential people in my life.
Someone in whom I could see my own reflection.
Someone who actually forced me to realize that, yes, behind all the clouds, I am the Sun.
What a weird meeting that was.
Without Call of Dragons, we would never have met.
And the funniest thing is that this pay-to-win game led me back to all of these:
- the spirituality I had been looking for all my life but never found
- my confidence
- my belief in my leadership qualities
- how to love unconditionally
- my creativity
- my mind—this cursed rabbit hole where it's actually really fun to be
- my feminine energy, which I always felt ashamed of
- my whole purpose in life
- my identity
- my inner joy and happiness
- my boundaries
- my dreams
- the person I always wanted to become
Reality still needs some time to catch up with that reflection. But my identity doesn't depend on external circumstances.
Honestly, it's crazy.
But I decided that I won't be happy when I have X and Y. I'll just be happy now and let the world catch up by giving me X and Y. I know they're on their way, and they will arrive.
So why not celebrate now?
There is nothing but the present moment.
