The New Foundation of My Emotional Confidence

The new foundation of my emotional confidence is:

I don’t give a fuck.

Honestly.

Not so long ago, I was so concerned about what other people thought of me. How they saw me. What they said about me behind my back.

But...

I don’t give a cheesecake anymore.

I won’t draw my sword for a fight that was never meant to be mine.

They can gossip behind my back all they want.

I mean, always be careful what you hear about a woman.

Rumors usually come from either a man who can't have her or a woman who feels she can't compete with her.

And I realized how true that can be.

The biggest lies about me were always spread by people like that.

The men who couldn’t buy me, who knew I am loyal as hell, and that neither my love nor my presence is negotiable.

I am exactly wherever and whenever I want to be.

And the women who lacked the confidence and self-worth I have.

Who had to project all their insecurities onto me so they could protect their position.

The position they never really had.

Not because they weren’t worthy of it, but because self-hatred breeds self-sabotage.

And those who believe the lies and the gossip without ever asking me what the truth is?

Well, that sounds like their problem too.

I know my worth, and I don’t have to prove it to anyone.

The truth, sooner or later, always comes out anyway.
